Dr.K.Anupama
Staff Scientist, I/c, Plant DNA fingerprinting services(PDFS)
Dr.K.Anupama obtained Ph.D from Dept. of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Acharya Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad. During her Ph.D research work that was carried out at International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), she constructed a molecular linkage map using intraspecific chickpea cross and tagged one of the Fusarium wilt resistance gene to SSR markers. She is a recipient of UNESCO fellowship to conduct her Ph.D work for three months in Goethe University, Frankfurt. She joined CDFD in 2002 as Staff Scientist in Bacterial Genetics group and studied the mechanism of mRNA turnover and Rho-dependent transcription termination in E.coli. She moved to PDFS division in 2016 and is working as Officer-In-Charge, PDFS since 2017.
